The Nahanni Camping and Fishing Club held their annual fall meeting at the Kettle this fall. The trip had just about a full roster and we also had really beautiful weather. With the mild fall weather the allowed for both a nice walk around the pond as well as a hike up the might Owl’s Head. (I heard the State of VT is considering changing the name to Asian head).
There was even a very nice fish landed. The first decent fish landed in several years, about a 16 inch smallmouth bass. His mouth may have been small but it was big enough to inhale a Mepps Spinner! This is the biggest lunker caught at the Kettle since Mike Ws humongous 3 incher from several years – perhaps they are actually the same fish ….. hmmm.
My how time flies. Thanksgiving has passed and Christmas will be here before we know it. Some of us have already experienced snow and the rest of us will be snowed on very soon. Days of fishing in the sunshine are behind us…. at least for a while.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night !
